The "EcorcAir" project offers an interesting tool for better estimating the distribution of fine atmospheric particles in cities and calls on city dwellers to participate in plane tree bark sampling campaigns. This will make it possible to map the quality of the air in their city and to get in touch with the researchers of the project and the managers of their commune to act together in order to "live better in their city".
Christine Franke, Loïc Marlot and several interns from the Center's Geology team are actively involved in this project. Our experimental platform has already provided magnetic susceptibility analysis results from the 2016 and 2019 campaigns to the scientific consortium. Analyzes of the campaign taken in March 2020 are currently underway.
This project is a collaboration with Sorbonne University and the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris.
